While our company is just 13 years old we have been training salespeople from various fields in the “art of sales” for more than 20 years.
And make no mistake about it, sales is an art form, whether it is face to face, face to screen or mouth to ear, there really is a method to the madness of this thing called sales. Overcoming objections, closing, asking for the sale and even reinforcing the sale once it is made to head off the dreaded thing, those of us in the sales professions call “buyers remorse”, is ALL part of the training services and consultations our company provides.
Personally, I am 49 years old and have trained sales techniques to mostly outside and telephone sales people. I have written “memorized” sales presentations for various products from annual memberships to replacement windows and siding.
Currently I now only do some phone consultations and presentation development because I am now permanently disabled. I a disease called spinal stenosis and something else called “abiglongword” neuropathy (hey… I can barely say it, let alone spell it ).
I have blogged for years on various sites most notably as O¿O in the crowd (read as “face in the crowd”). I have also owned both a FM radio station and a twice weekly newspaper that I started in 1994 and sold in 2000.
